View Systems Announces Versatile New Product: the LAW

BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 2006--View Systems Inc. (OTCBB: VYST), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, announced today the addition of a field-expedient handheld metal detector to their security and surveillance product line.

Marketed as the LAW, this easily deployable handheld metal detector is now being offered by View due to great demand from their existing correctional facility client base. The LAW boasts a rapid startup, unlike many units of its kind, and is battery powered.

The LAW is a leading-edge, state-of-the-art technology that has been specifically designed to increase officer safety. It has also been used in the medical field to detect shrapnel. With its multiple probe settings and flexibility, the LAW is the last word in handheld weapons detection.

The main function of the LAW is to wave it over the subject of a search in order to locate metals that could be used as weapons. When metal is detected, an instant audible alarm is emitted, alerting the officer to investigate the area more carefully. Although it weighs under a pound, it is significantly robust, and can be used for self defense if the situation warrants such measures.

Gunther Than, CEO of View Systems, stated, "The LAW is the most highly sensitive handheld technology on the market today. View is pleased to offer this mission-capable item to our existing client base as well as to new clients. The LAW defines the benchmark for handheld detectors. We plan to include the LAW as part of every SecureScan delivery."
