View Systems and Idaho National Lab Acknowledged in Trade Journal Publication

BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 6, 2006--View Systems Inc. (OTCBB: VYST), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, announced today that the company and its headline products, the SecureScan Concealed Weapons Detector and the VFR Visual First Responder Hazmat Cam, were featured in an article by Michelle Blacker titled, "New Security Technologies Are Emerging from Idaho National Lab," in the August/September issue of Innovation: America's Journal of Technology Commercialization magazine.

The article mentions that "... calls (are) coming in daily from organizations that are interested in the (SecureScan) technology." It also states that the Visual First Responder (VFR) technology is being used to "increase safety and shorten response time during incidents involving chemical, biological or radiological hazards, as well as for search and rescue purposes."

Funded by the Department of Justice, SecureScan's non-contact imaging capabilities reduce the need for wanding and pat-down searches. While ignoring common items like coins, watches, and jewelry, the SecureScan is sensitive enough to locate hidden razor blades and cell phones on its video image.

The R&D 100 award winner, the Visual First Responder (VFR Hazmat Cam), is an affordable, lightweight, wireless video camera system for emergency first response teams. It is currently being used by more than a dozen National Guard Civil Support Teams, fire departments, and law enforcement agencies.

Gunther Than, CEO of View Systems, stated, "In addition to the exposure that View has received from the print media, we will be showing at the 52nd Annual ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits this month in San Diego. ASIS International (American Society for Industrial Security) was founded in 1955 and now has over 34,000 members. It's the largest international organization for security professionals (www.asisonline.org). We believe that the contacts we make during this event will prove to be integral in the continued marketing of our product line."
