View Systems Announces New West Coast Office Receives Purchase Order From City of Santa Ana, California

BALTIMORE, MD--(MARKET WIRE)--May 15, 2006 -- View Systems, Inc. (OTC BB:VYST.OB), a leading edge homeland defense solutions provider, announced today that a SecureScan purchase order has been received from the City of Santa Ana, California for use in their Detention Center. SecureScan units are currently in place at five California locations: the County of Los Angeles Probation Department, and the courthouses in Malibu, Torrance, Compton, and Long Beach.

Craig Boyd of the View Systems Los Angeles office states, "Santa Ana officials initially visited the Long Beach Courthouse to see the SecureScan system in action. They seemed to be impressed by the features of the unit, especially the archiving capabilities."

Funded by the Department of Justice, the SecureScan II's non-contact imaging capabilities reduce the need for wanding and pat-down searches. While ignoring common items like coins, watches, and jewelry, the SecureScan II is sensitive enough to locate and pinpoint hidden razor blades and cell phones on its video image, which are crucial in correctional facility searches.

View Systems CEO, Gunther Than, states, "We are pleased to announce the continued growth in California. Santa Ana is the county seat of Orange County. There are 58 counties in California."
