BALTIMORE, MD--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 29, 2005 -- View Systems, Inc. (OTC BB:VYST.OB), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, announced today that the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles ordered four SecureScan Concealed Weapons Detection Systems.
Funded by the Department of Justice and developed by the DOE's Federal Lab System, the SecureScan is the finest concealed weapons detection system available. While ignoring common items like coins, watches, and jewelry, the SecureScan is sensitive enough to locate and pinpoint hidden razor blades on the video image. The SecureScan records both the video and potential threat objects for review and printing and interfaces with access control and bio-metric systems.
"We have been working closely with the Court staff to synchronize details for this system. Detailed studies, multiple demonstrations, and location surveys resulted in this order," stated View's Executive Craig Boyd. "This system was chosen for its reliability, its pass through rate and accuracy. The courts have always been in the market for new technology. I am confident that this technology is the future."
"From Atlanta to California, court houses across the country are undergoing considerable security upgrades. Safety and security are major topics of discussion. Earlier this year in Los Angeles a defendant standing trail in two killings smuggled a razor blade into a court and slashed his own lawyer," stated View Systems CEO, Gunther Than. "We are pleased with the opportunity to again show the courts our ability to perform."
